The ‘Baking Goodness’ section is up and running!!!

With three kids running around the house and demanding to be fed almost constantly (how dare they!), sometimes it takes me a little while to get around to doing things. For the past two weeks, number one on my to-do list has consistently been ‘Post Baking Recipes NOW’. I love to bake, I really do. If I’m feeling a bit blah, have something on my mind, a few extra minutes in the day (Extra minutes? What are those?), or just really crave something gooey and delicious (my usual reason for baking), I whip out my favorite mixing bowl and wooden spoon and get baking. As far as I’m concerned, a bit of time baking up something scrumptious and a hot cup of tea (and maybe a good celebrity gossip magazine) fix everything.

So, I’m delighted to announce that I’ve started posting recipes to the ‘Baking Goodness’ page of my blog. There’s an easy-peasy drop down menu that you can click on to go right to the recipe of your choice. First up is The Best Damn Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever…..they really do melt in your mouth and my hubby curses me when I make them because he can’t resist having just one more cookie. Next up will be Nana’s Raisin Bran Muffins, which my kids are addicted to (and on a far-too-personal side note, all that fiber will be sure to fix any ‘backed-up’ problems that you may be experiencing…if you know what I mean). And then we have Grandma’s Applesauce Cake, which I’ve been making since I was a wee little girl and my boys are completely addicted to (we actually just made two batches of this cake today and I’ll post some pictures of the yummy finished product). I’ll also treat you to Linda’s Luscious Chocolate Truffles – this is my darling mother-in-law’s fabulous recipe and I feel I should put a warning on them. They’re ADDICTIVE. I’ve been begging her to make them and stealing them from her fridge for over fourteen years now and I still can’t get enough of them. We make them all year round and especially at Christmas time. Your hips won’t thank you, but your taste buds will. They’re easy to make and oh-so-good.

If you get a chance to make any of these baking recipes, please feel free to pop by and leave a comment or two – I’d love to know what you think!!

Happy Baking! 🙂
